Plasma nitrocarburising (PNC): Minimum adhesion tendency and very high abrasion resistance for your components

This process is used for enriching the surface layer of a workpiece of component with nitrogen and carbon. Advantages for your components offered by plasma nitrocarburising are minimum adhesion tendency and a very high resistance to abrasion. This process is used on components subject corrosion and abrasion.

Compound layer: 10 – 12 µm
Diffusion layer: 0,1 – 0,8 mm

Some application examples:

  • Eccentric shafts
  • Sliding rails
  • Piston rods
  • Disc carriers
  • Camshafts
  • Connecting rods
  • Sintered parts
  • Synchronising devices
  • Synchronising wheels
  • Synchronising rings
  • Supporting tubes
  • Hubs
